Düpedüzü valley looking west from the Düpedüzü north ridge, Kaçkar mountains, Turkey. Taken at 3pm on 29.7.22. We'd had a tough climb up to the ridge at 3,000+ metres, and were running late to get down the other side and back to our village before dark. The Kaçkars are photogenic and we took a lot of photos but this one stands out for me. It's like a painting where time is suspended and people are absent from a terrific, slow-changing, verdant landscape.
